Family is a strong theme in this book, and Amber has a good relationship with her father, and misses her mother. Amber plays the violin and has the gift of a healing touch. She lives on the magical isle of Tir na Nor, where music and education are held in high regard. Skooter Girl is the “origin” story of Amber, a new super hero in this wonderful graphic novel that I just couldn’t put down!
